other than when i was a little kid, i haven't taken baths. i know people take them all the time, and say they are relaxing... but i've often had a rather chandler-esque view on them.
but bekah decided to play monica ( and got me the goods )
and, happy 4th of july 5 hours early :)

we had the almost-summer staff picnic at work on friday. which means for like 2.5 hours the staff gets to play outside and have grilled food. i even played some badminton for the blind with pam, melissa and donna. seriously though - the birdie was the size of montana.
anyway, they had these little things of lucky bamboo. i got to have one, and i was excited to bring it home.
i hopped online after work to read a little about it, to make sure water was all they needed. and i found this: The number of stalks also has meaning : three stalks for happiness; five stalks for wealth; six stalks for health. Four stalks, however, are always avoided since the word "four" in Chinese sounds too similar to the Chinese word for "death"!
guess how many stalks the ones given away at the picnic had???
whatever, though. i love my little cluster of death. its been sitting next to my bed ever since. i'll let you all know if they get ominous. |
